Check out the next question and answer to discover what dumpster size will be ideal for your home project.

Dumpster sizes are measured in cubic yards, which means measuring the length, width and height of the container and multiplying the three numbers together. For example, a bin that is 2 yards long, 2 yards wide and 1 yard tall is 4 cubic yards. Available sizes include 4, 6, 10, 14, 15 and 20 yards.

Of course, the size you'll need for your home project depends on the project and amount of waste. For small remodeling projects, like a bathroom, you'll probably be fine renting a 6 or 10 yard dumpster. Obviously, for larger remodeling projects like kitchens and basements, you'll want a 15 or 20 yard container.

Sometimes, weight and density of the waste will dictate what dumpster size you'll need. If you're undergoing a roofing project, you'll need to rent a 10 yard bin because many bin trucks can't lift a 20 yard dumpster full of shingles.

That's easy. Check out this blog all about asking the right questions for your upcoming rental.

Our most often-asked questions to our Dumpster Consultants typically are:

  • How much does it cost to rent a dumpster?

  • What size of dumpster do I need?

  • How long is the rental period?

  • What items can I put in the bin?

  • Will my driveway be protected?

  • What is the charge if I go over the allotted disposal weight?

As a consumer, we expect that you'd like; a dumpster when you need it; you know exactly what you're going to pay for the dumpster; your property will be protected; to know what you can and cannot put in the container.

If a dumpster rental company can't answer that, it's better to look elsewhere.

The only way to truly protect your driveway is to make sure that the dumpster itself never actually touches the ground.  Our proper use of large strong wooden planks is the best and most effective method. This is all part of our driveway protection system. Check out our residential-friendly delivery process.

The average stay of a dumpster in a Houston-based residential driveway is just over three days. It is reasonable to expect that you may need to give 24-hour notice for the pickup, but it is also reasonable to expect that in some cases we may be able to come quickly.

Call our Dumpster Consultant when you're ready for the dumpster to be picked up and removed from your driveway.

I would suggest a 15 yard bin for this project.  You do not need to remove the nails from the boards, just throw them in the bin.  The Price for a 15 yard is $399 plus tax for up to seven days and this includes up to 2.5 tons of debris.  All our bin include driveway protection and we clean up around the bin when we pick it up.
